On the eve of the new year of 2008, the people of our barangay always make it a habit to have at least a little amount of foofd prepared, alcohol to drink and music to listen to. Every new year’s eve, people go out of their houses and are eating, drinking, talking and greeting each other. There are also those that aren’t so common that can afford buying fireworks. Well, thanks to them we were able to watch a lot of great fireworks that night. We also had a little fun and danced a bit. Then when midnight struck people greeted each other “Happy New Year!” along with kisses and hugs. Then after some time they went to sleep. Except me of course, coz I have insomnia and I have always had a difficulty with sleeping. But despite that, celebrating the New Year with family is always the best.
