For the final part of our whole day adventure on my Birthday Month, the Gulay Gang goes to Gelatissimo in Shangrila's East Wing for some well needed dessert.

This is gonna be a very short post. As you can see there are only two photos in this post. The photo of the ice creams and our family photo. It's because, at that time my phone is already out of juice and I can't take any pictures even if I wanted to.

So....after our dinner at Wee Nam Kee, we still managed to go window shopping in SM Megamall. Despite it being a whole other mall and you have to go through Shangrila hotel to get there... Coz we needed to walk. A lot of walking helps in getting the food down and digested enough to have enough space for dessert. :D

So after walking around Megamall, and meeting up with my sister there. We all went back to Shangrila and went straight to Gelatissimo.

My sister is really good at taking Groufies. :D

It was my first time to ever try Gelatissimo's gelato. Their's was a milky fudgy texture that is condensed and fuller compared to regular grocery ice cream. The flavors were all sooo wonderful. And you have a ton of choices too. We didn't know which flavors were any good, so we tasted almost all of them before choosing. Which is a great part of being at a gelato store. They give you a small taste of the ice cream before you choose which flavor to get. :D

We got two orders of Sundae Take Away at 230 each. And also got a bottle of water. The voucher I got from +Deal Grocer was worth 500 :D

It's actually seven months since we went on this whole day adventure and I'm not soo sure what the flavors were. But they were the best ones we tasted. And they were mostly chocolate or nut flavored. ;D

Overall, it was an amazing day with the family and I really loved every minute of it.

Thanks for reading til this point, I hope you enjoyed the read somehow.
If you haven't gone out with your family for some ice cream or something in a while, I suggest you go and do it right away. Every moment counts.

Til next time. :)

Whenever it's October, the Gulay Gang will almost always go on a whole day of bonding to celebrate my birth month. hahaha :D This is part one of another awesome family day.

Of course, this day only happened thanks to the vouchers that I found that all can be used in the same area and on the same day. The venue of our whole day adventure is Edsa Shangrila.

The Gulay Gang's first stop is Serenitea on the 5th floor of Shang's East Wing.

Serenitea always has these cosy chairs ang lounge seats that just makes you want to stick around and hang out.

We had a 600 peso voucher that I got for 350. Not bad huh?
We each got a drink and also got some snacks.

To be honest, these are just the drinks my family got. When I ordered mine, I forgot to take a photo of it. hehehe

These are the small snacks we got to munch on while drinking the yummy tea.

Mochi Buns P120

Pepper Fries

Captain Pepper Beef Rice Topping

Overall, we were a quite satisfied with the snacks and drinks that. We also spent quite some time taking a bunch of pictures there. I mean who doesn't want to take as many pictures as you can when you're out with the family?

This is me, my brother Duane and my dad, Ben

Me, my mom Lita and my dad

Mom and Dad :)

And that was the first stop, we will go to two more food pit stops on the same day. So stay tuned. :D

We got the Laksa, Garlic Spareribs, Hainanese Chicken, Sentosa Fried Rice, Thai milk tea and Vanilla Ice Cream on Fried Bananas (Pisang Goreng) for dessert.

The food was delicious. I really liked the Sentosa Fried Rice, Thai Milk Tea and Hainanese Chicken.
The rice was the highlight for me. It costs 250 and the serving is huuge, more than enough for 3 hungry people.

It was well worth the price of the voucher. I paid 900 for 1500 worth of food.

Overall:
Awesome!

Delicious food and Big servings. Definitely coming back... And we actually did :)

My sister and I visited Bigoli on the top floor of Trinoma, near the cinemas one weekend.
I've got an A-deals voucher for 1 quattro gusto pizza and 1 Formaggi pizza. Despite just the two of us, we were able to finish most of it. hahaha

Quattro Gusto Pizza - came with the A-deals voucher

Me and my sister with the pizza
This is a leftover Formaggi pizza. It was even more delicious with the Sriracha Sauce! ^_^

It was the first time for me to try eating at Bigoli that day. It was a sort of self service restaurant. You have to go to the counter to place your order, pay for it and get a number. I also ordered a 4 pc Italian Chicken and 2 unlimited iced teas in addition to the Adeals pizzas. The great thing about having to wait in line to order food at the counter is the fact that you don't have to pay for service charge. All your money goes to food. Brilliant!

Now, it was a really pleasant surprise to find that the garlic bread was unlimited. I mean their garlic bread was delicious!! It was freshly made, soft and definitely garlicy. I just used garlicy as an adjective because you can't describe it any other way. Every now and then a server with the garlic bread basket will pass by asking if you want more garlic bread, and we always say yes.

For the unlimited iced tea, they will give you a glass and a straw at the counter.
Now it's all up to you to go to their beverage booth, as I called it, and get your own ice and fill your glass with as much iced tea as you want. Cool! ^_^

Total Bill: 990 for 2 pax (and a lot of left overs)
Iced Tea P60 each = P120
Italian Chicken 4pcs = P250
A-deals voucher = P620

Good Points:
Great location, inside a mall
Servers were nice
Huge portions
No Service Charge
Unlimited Garlic Bread
Cool ambiance
Refillable Iced tea
Affordable food that taste amazing

Bad points:
There were so many people that you had to wait quite a while to be seated.

Final Score: Awesome!
Definitely going back to this place with or without a voucher.

Koko Buri is in the Forum building in BGC.
It's a cool place. Went there with my sister and my mom.

I have a voucher from Deal Grocer with 2 set meals. But since there are 3 of us. I had to order additional stuff.

The voucher covered a meal with sampler of all types of chicken they offer:
Koko Buri Chicken - similar to regular fried chicken, crispy batter with white gravy dip
Soy Garlic Chicken - think Bon Chon soy garlic
Chili Garlic Chicken - think of the spicy Bon Chon chicken

It also came with a side salad, a delicious vinaigrette, a drink of choice between coffee or iced tea and a lemon square for dessert.
DG voucher meal: with the 3 pcs of chicken, salad, and rice

This is me with the Soy Garlic Chicken basket with 6 pcs of chicken - P390 and the rice was P 40

Lemon Squares - part of the DG voucher

My mom and sis. They both got the set meals. ^_^
The Fantastic Lemon Square!

I loved their soy garlic chicken. It was crispy, and delicious!
I also liked the chili garlic one, but not the Koko Buri Chicken. It was boring and bland compared to the other two.
And the Lemon Squares were fantastic, sweet and tart at the same time. Just brilliant.

I had to order the 6 pcs. of Soy Garlic chicken for P 370 and a cup of rice for P 40.

Total Bill:
P451 for 3 pax plus DG voucher value P660

Good Points:
Great Ambiance
Servers were attentive, friendly and very nice
Food tasted great
Portions were big
Place was clean

Bad Points:
Expensive chicken, but good to try ^_^
In the middle of nowhere. It was a ways away from SM Aura and Market Market.

Final Score: Awesome!
Will go back to this place when I get another voucher. ^_^
