Palmolive Naturals Anti-Hair Fall Shampoo and Conditioner

After using the shampoo and conditioner combo, my first reaction was that it smells REALLY sweet. I'm all for sweet smelling hair but this takes the cake, and throws the cake way out into the mountains. I've rinsed out my hair twice and it still smells too sweet. For me at least. I'm not too fond of the strength of the scent.

As for the effect on the hair, it still makes it smooth and soft as promised. And hair fall is still minimal. I was previously using the hair fall control shampoo from dove and this combo has the same amount of hair fall after rinsing. After running my hands through my hair, I'll get 4 to 5 strands. But if I didn't use the hairfall shampoo, it's waaay more than just 5 strands.

Overall, pretty good product but I'd like to try another variant where the scent isn't too sweet.

Palmolive Naturals Flawless Clean Soap

The Palmolive Naturals Soap has specks of charcoal that is said to absorb impurities from your skin. The scent of the soap is pleasant and floral. After using it, my skin feels clean but not dry or streched. Overall, pretty good, but not sure if the charcoal really works. :D

Palmolive Naturals White Papaya Body Wash

The Palmolive Naturals White Papaya Body Wash is my favorite item in this bundle. Does it make sense that I used it immediately? I didn't even take a proper picture of it. haha
The wash is a light orange in color and is gooey almost like a cream which makes a lot of lather once used with a loofah. You can put just a coin sized amount on your loofah and it can wash your entire body. Absolutely love how economical it is. And it really moisturizes my skin as well as leaving it smelling nice and sweet. You should definitely try it!

This is a bundle of Palmolive samples that I ordered from Sampleroom.ph.Although they are technically free, you have to pay for a shipping fee that is worth 130 for anything more than 500 grams.

Getting a full sized product from Sample room is always awesome and getting the full sized Olay Beauty Wash is even Awesomer. The packaging was nice and it came with a loofah for each bottle!

Olay Deep Moisture with Honey

Olay Whitening Moisture with Pearl Extract

On to the review of the Body wash. The first thing I liked when I used this wash is the scent. It's nice. I'm not too good in describing the scent but I liked it. next observation is that it's consistency is not too gooey. It's light. If you use just the body wash straight on your skin, it's can be spread easily and can wash off well.

But the downside of that is the lather, you need to add more of the body wash on the loofah. The common conception is that the bubblier the loofah the better. Because of this I ended up squeezing more of the body wash on the loofah after just washing half of my body because the bubbles had run out.

Final observation is the effect on my skin. Definitely similar to the feel of my face after washing it with the Olay facial wash, which I also use. My skin is soft after drying it with a towel and doesn't feel stretched or squeaky clean. Which is good, so I don't have to put a layer of lotion to make my skin soft. I hate having to put on lotion after shower. This helps me skip a step in my routine every morning.

The main difference of the two body washes that I tried is their scent. I prefer the scent of the honey wash over the pearl wash. Supposedly the honey has a deep moisture effect and the pearl one is for whitening. But I don't see the difference on my skin on the whitening aspect. I can't clearly discern any difference in the effect on my skin aside from the fact that it is softer after using either of them.

Thanks for the sample, Sample Room!

Here's a review of the Skin White PowerWhitening Face Cream Powder from Sample Room.

Okay, this is a weird product for me. It completely baffles me why you want something like this on your face. I'm weirded me out because it's a cream that once applied on your face dries up and turns powdery! I don't know. I tried it several times and most of the time when I apply it on my face the liquid dries too quickly that the powdery area is not blended well enough on my face. I found it hard to use and once I did get to apply it and blended it successfully, it didn't make that much "whitening" effect on my face. It did however make my skin feel smoother, because of the powder. But the hydration and whitening properties are questionable. Not the product for me. I'd rather use a liquid foundation, blend it before it dries then apply the powder after for a smooth finish. But thanks to Sample Room for the sample, now I know I won't be buying this product.

Today I got my first ever manicure and pedicure at a salon.
It was done by a Nail Technician in under an hour.
I hate it more than I like it. gaaah

Today, we went to the Princess Hazel Salon and Spa at Pacific Century Tower along Quezon Avenue.
We have been planning to go to that place for months now.
I was initially given the idea of getting a manicure and pedicure here because of Sample Room.
For 90 sample room points and 100 pesos shipping, I can get a manicure and pedicure from the said salon that is worth 450 pesos normally.
When I saw this deal I was ecstatic. Coz the price is way less than the regular fee.

Pros:
The place is cute. It has a royal theme. There's purple, gold and blue colors everywhere. And a Red carpet on the floor too. And the staff is very friendly. The hour passed by quickly thanks to them.
You can choose from a variety of nail polish colors and you can also choose to add glitter to the nail polish. I chose purple nail polish and purple glitters. hahaha

Cons:
The place is relatively far. It's far from my house at least.
And it's not worth the time to get there to do the entire procedure.
The process took an hour!
We went to the shop before going to work, and if it took any longer we'd be late.
It's best to go here when you have lots of time to kill.
Also for the regular price of 450 pesos it's so reaally worth it.
I'd rather do it myself.

Overall, if you live in QC or in the nearby area as the salon it's an interesting place to try.

P.S.
But here's the thing, I hated the entire process of getting a manicure and pedicure.
You're just sitting there doing nothing.
You can't play on your phone coz you can't use your hands.
The Nail Technician will cut up the sides of your fingers and toes! It hurts! And they say it's normal!
Gaaah
Just while sitting at the shop, when the nail polish should have dried already, I accidentally destroy it.

So yah, Im never getting a mani/pedi ever again!

Himalaya Herbals Clear Complexion Whitening Face Wash
Himalaya Herbals Clear Complexion Whitening Face Wash is a cream based cleanser that lathers really well even with just a small amount of it. The sample only has 15 ml but I was able to use it for quite a while. The scent is okay, with a floral scent that's not too much like a perfume. Skin feels fresh and smooth after washing. But still not sure how often I should use this for my skin to whiten. No visible change in skin tone after using the entire sample.

This cleanser works well for me. I used this after the nightmare effect of the Neem Face wash, also from Himalaya herbals. I didn't have any pimples while I was using this facial wash.

Himalaya Herbal Purifying Neem Face Wash

Himalaya Herbals's Neem Face wash smells pretty nice. It reminds me of aloe vera slash  a herbal scent that I'm not really familiar with. The scent is okay for me. Using it, I have some issues. It doesn't lather really well. You have to get quite a large amount to wash your face. The cleansing properties is good because your skin feels fresh after washing. My only concern is that after I started using this face wash, I STARTED GETTING PIMPLES!

I guess my skin doesn't respond well to the Neem additive. After I stopped using it, my pimples went away.

Verdict: Nope. Not buying it.

I got both samples from Sample Room

Here's my review of the Dial Coconut Water line.

Dial Coconut Water Soap

The Dial coconut water soap has a nice scent that reminds you of your coconut shake obsession back in the summer. I really like this scent, and the scent remains after washing.

The soap lathers well when used and leaves the skin soft and slippery after rinsing.
The slippery feeling is somewhat annoying because you feel like you need to rinse your skin more after washing. But once you dry your self with a towel, skin feels soft and smooth to touch. Like when you applied lotion but it's already absorbed by the skin.

I also tried the body wash and I prefer that form over the bar soap because it's more convenient and you get to use less of it in a long period of time. The bar soap sort of melts and you only get to use it for a short amount of time before it's gone

Dial Coconut Water Body Wash

Same comments as the soap form. The scent is very nice and remains on your skin after washing.
It also feels slippery after rinsing but leaves skin soft and smooth once towel dried.

The main difference is the form and it's all up to you if you want to go with the shower gel form or with the bar soap. I prefer the gel form because it's easy to lather all over the body once you put a drop of it on a loofah.

I like both products and definitely recommend you to try them out. :)
