For the final part of our whole day adventure on my Birthday Month, the Gulay Gang goes to Gelatissimo in Shangrila's East Wing for some well needed dessert.

This is gonna be a very short post. As you can see there are only two photos in this post. The photo of the ice creams and our family photo. It's because, at that time my phone is already out of juice and I can't take any pictures even if I wanted to.

So....after our dinner at Wee Nam Kee, we still managed to go window shopping in SM Megamall. Despite it being a whole other mall and you have to go through Shangrila hotel to get there... Coz we needed to walk. A lot of walking helps in getting the food down and digested enough to have enough space for dessert. :D

So after walking around Megamall, and meeting up with my sister there. We all went back to Shangrila and went straight to Gelatissimo.

My sister is really good at taking Groufies. :D

It was my first time to ever try Gelatissimo's gelato. Their's was a milky fudgy texture that is condensed and fuller compared to regular grocery ice cream. The flavors were all sooo wonderful. And you have a ton of choices too. We didn't know which flavors were any good, so we tasted almost all of them before choosing. Which is a great part of being at a gelato store. They give you a small taste of the ice cream before you choose which flavor to get. :D

We got two orders of Sundae Take Away at 230 each. And also got a bottle of water. The voucher I got from +Deal Grocer was worth 500 :D

It's actually seven months since we went on this whole day adventure and I'm not soo sure what the flavors were. But they were the best ones we tasted. And they were mostly chocolate or nut flavored. ;D

Overall, it was an amazing day with the family and I really loved every minute of it.

Whenever it's October, the Gulay Gang will almost always go on a whole day of bonding to celebrate my birth month. hahaha :D This is part one of another awesome family day.

Of course, this day only happened thanks to the vouchers that I found that all can be used in the same area and on the same day. The venue of our whole day adventure is Edsa Shangrila.

The Gulay Gang's first stop is Serenitea on the 5th floor of Shang's East Wing.

Serenitea always has these cosy chairs ang lounge seats that just makes you want to stick around and hang out.

We had a 600 peso voucher that I got for 350. Not bad huh? 
We each got a drink and also got some snacks.

To be honest, these are just the drinks my family got. When I ordered mine, I forgot to take a photo of it. hehehe

Overall, we were a quite satisfied with the snacks and drinks that. We also spent quite some time taking a bunch of pictures there. I mean who doesn't want to take as many pictures as you can when you're out with the family?

For this special Weekend Adventure, The entire Gulay Gang goes to SM Mall of Asia. This time, we're going to cut the Adventure in three parts. Part 3 will cover our quick dessert at Swensen's.

Thanks to +CashCashPinoy we got to enjoy the desserts at a discount. I found this deal of P500 worth of ice cream for just P299.

We got a chocolate fondou set that had fruits, chocolate dip and a set of nine ice cream flavors.

Their ice cream is absolutely delicious. Even better when you dip your ice cream in hot chocolate! It's awesome! I don't even think we spent too much time eating all of it. It took us maybe 5 minutes tops. bwahahaha :D

And that's it! The Awesome Family Day is over. After licking off the remnants of ice cream from our spoons, we went back to The Picture Company to select the photos to print and after that we headed home.

It's always a pleasure to spend time with your family, taking photos and eating out is definitely a great way. But you don't always have to go out, you can just spend time with your family even when at home and you can have fun just the same. Carla signing off :)

Thanks to +MetroDeal Philippines we got to eat here at a discount! I found the deal of P600 for P1000 worth of food and got three vouchers.

Burgoo serves American style food, so we saw burgers and steaks on their menu along with nachos and onion rings. so we pretty much ordered all those stuff. While waiting, we took some photos. But the best "feature" of Burgoo is that they give all their customers crayons and easel sheets to draw on. The easel sheets also double as placemats/tablecloths for easy cleanup. :D

I've always liked Burgoo's ambiance. It's a cool spot to hangout in, with walls plastered with quirky random stuff and flat screen tvs showing football or basketball games. Totally worth every penny to eat here. My favorite among all the awesome food we ordered was the nachos. Coz of the cheese! And the burger was awesome too! :D

Thanks to +CashCashPinoy we got to use their services at a discount.

Before going to the studio, I had to make sure to buy the voucher first from CCP. The voucher includes a photo shoot session and your choice of 2 photos for one 8R size photo and one 5R size photo and it only costs 580 Pesos!

Once that's done, I had to schedule an appointment with them for the specific date and time that we will take the photos. So on April 12, 6:00pm we went to the Picture Company branch at the SM Mall of Asia.

We usually do some sort of color combination stint when we do these photo shoots.

Here's a behind the scenes look from our last shoot. We didn't have a solid color scheme this time.

The studio has a huge white cyclorama with a couple of "flash" thingies in front. The flash thingies I'm referring to are the ones that "flash" every time the photographer takes a photo. A session usually lasts around 15 min to 30 minutes. It takes longer when the photographer keeps adjusting our positions and gets creative with how we should pose. I guess from that period the photog takes maybe 20 or so photos and sadly we only get to choose 2. If we like other photos, we have to pay for the digital copies. :/

After the photoshoot, we can come back after an hour or so to see the final edited pics. These are the photos we got:

Overall, The Picture Company is a pretty good photography service with well trained photographers and good quality prints for a helluva price. But as long as a voucher is available, we'll definitely come back later this 2015 for new photos. :)

For this special Weekend Adventure, the entire Gulay Gang went to Uncle Cheffy at Prism Plaza for a family bbq dinner. :)

We got a set meal which includes the following: All Meat BBQ Platter, Rice, Salad Bowl, and Iced Tea Carafe. Double that and that's what we had for dinner.
The value for each set is P1,095, so a total of P2,190. But I only paid 1600.

The food was okay, the bbq beef was really soft and tender that it fell apart with just a fork. It was really tasty too. 

But the wait time for the food was quite long. we had two carafes of iced tea and some salad. The was was so long that we almost finished it off before the main dish arrived.

For my Birthday dinner on the actual day of my Birthday, the Gulay Gang went to Shakey's along Aguinaldo Hiway in Imus, Cavite.

It is very accessible as it is close to our subdivision and is right along the highway. We could actually walk to the place if we wanted to. IF we wanted to...

We got the Monster Meal Deal with 1 Large Pizza of our choice, 1 pasta, Family size Chicken and Mojos and a pitcher of Iced Tea.

'Twas my first time to visit Ayala Triangle Gardens and the place was so spacious and nice. It just makes you want to lay a blanket down on the grass and lie down. I just wish we stayed longer so we could see the lights turned on.

I got two 250 Php vouchers so I got two items from their menu.

Got 1 Banana Split Froyo with Strawberry, Vanilla and Chocolate yogurt and 1 Large Coffee yogurt. And that's it. Also, I noted that the plastic spoons are gold colored ergo "Golden Spoon". weeeeeeeee

The yogurt itself was delicious. It was messy and it was brilliant. This is not something you buy to impress someone with your table manners. Because as soon as it starts melting, which is within seconds, the mess ensues and no amount of table courtesy can keep you from the mess. bwahaha

Great tasting frozen yogurt. Not too sour, just the right sweetness and it has a smooth texture.
Awesome service.

Con(suggestion really):
They could use more selections of fruit toppings

Overall: Okay.
I'll probably be coming back for more. The location is pretty accessible but I don't want to go to a specific place just for yogurt. :P
